Before event activation, we should check for the following:
- See all permissions have been obtained and no legal issues prevail.
- Have a full flow of events at hand.
- Have necessary key person’s contact details at hand.
- Brief the part time extra workers, promoters, emcee as the need arises.
- Have emergency numbers like the nearest hospital, police station, fire station at hand.
- The set up should be completed a day in advance.
- Sponsors should be called to see their branding (positioning of poster, banner, logo etc.). This would avoid clashes on event day.
- Logistics like power backup, seating arrangements, stage management should be seen to.
- All concerned people should be present at the venue 3 hours prior to the event.
- Security and safety arrangements should be rechecked before start of an event.
- Duties and responsibilities should be well divided amongst the organizers.
